2009 Celebration needs

Donations Needed for the QSC:

      We need MORE purple fabric…we need at least a 5-1/2” strip, Fat quarters are great too…these will be used for table favors at the celebration.

      Raffle Gift Baskets complete or we could use the Clear extra Large bags that can be purchased at Hobby Lobby (watch for the 40% off coupons in Sunday’s paper or on the internet), ribbon~2-3” wide and preferably wired in Spring colors…or you can just write a check.

      Batting Donations- 1 Twin, 1 full, 1 queen, 1 king …100% cotton or 80/20% cotton blend. Contact Lisa Green if you can help in this way.

      Binders~Do you like to bind? We have a couple quilts that need to be hand binded for the auctions. Contact Lois Garrett if you would like to volunteer your time.

 

Things we need to borrow for the Show:

o        Able bodied people to come early and set up as well as take down. Ages 10+ welcome!

o        Quilt Racks and Stands, Wooden Ladders are great for displays too!

o        Small Sewing Machines…preferably featherweights for display only.

o        Queen or King Flat White sheets

o        Step ladders or 2 step stools

 

 

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP

ž      Volunteer to help...there are jobs for everyone...See Carolyn Hooks!

ž      Invite everyone you know to come help us celebrate 25 wonderful years of quilting. Reserve your tickets now!

ž      Ask your favorite nail shop, hair stylist, day spa, oil changer, restaurant, or department store to donate a door prize in honor of BAQG’S 25th Anniversary Celebration. If you happen to be lucky enough to get one, then be sure you pass it on to Jane Ott or bring to any BAQG meeting.

 

 

Quilt Show Committee Members

Mark your calendar for the following dates:

 

Thursday, March 19 @ 6 pm… All Quilt Show Committee members are encouraged to meet at the Goose Creek Country Club for our final planning and lay out meeting. Email reminders will be sent out 1 week prior to meeting. Come get a sneak peek of how the show will play out!

 

SAVE THIS DATE…Join us Saturday, April 25 @ 11 am for the FINAL Quilt Show Meeting to wrap up and prepare for set up of our 25th Anniversary Quilt Show Celebration. We will meet at the home of Barbara Sarria and a lovely lunch will be served. Invitations will be mailed in early April.
